Presented by certifying organization Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois on Saturday, April 29, 2023, Hillary Blevins of Morrison, IL, received The Presidential Volunteer Service Award for Lifetime Achievement. The award recognizes Blevins for performing more than 4000 hours of eligible volunteer service. This was the first Lifetime Achievement award presented by the Girl Scout Council.

Blevins also received two annual Gold Level awards for eligible volunteer service performed in 2022-2023: Individual Adult (500+ hours) and Group/Family (1000+ hours.)

“It has been a privilege to support many local groups, with missions focused on issues close to my heart–youth leadership development, education, and historical preservation. I look forward to continuing my involvement for many more years,” Blevins says.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award was founded in 2003, to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and National identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the Nation and inspires those around them to take action, too. The PVSA has continued under each administration, honoring volunteers who are using their time and talents to solve some of the toughest challenges facing our Nation.
