Stewards of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge and the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service are co-hosting a birding tour, into the closed area of Lost Mound on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Tours are free, but seating is limited. This is an excellent opportunity to travel through the refuge with experienced birders and learn about the history of Lost Mound (formerly the Savanna Army Depot.)
The bus will leave promptly at 9:00 a.m. and return at noon. Participants are to meet at 8:45 at the Lost Mound Office parking lot, located at 3159 Crim Road, Savanna, IL.
Registration is required.
