The Bureau Valley Storm invited the Morrison Fillies to their house and made every effort to send them home with a loss.
The Fillies left Manlius, IL, with a 49-46 Conference win.
All Storm starters scored in the opening quarter to build a four-point lead, despite the nine-point effort by Morrison’s Lakin Goodman. The teams played even for the second quarter to end the half with the Storm ahead 27-23.
The Fillies came out the second half and held the Storm to seven points, as they reeled off 19. Goodman continued her big night by scoring 14 points in the quarter.
The fourth quarter saw the Storm chip away at the Morrison eight-point lead, but they were unable to climb the hill.
