Beverly K. Van Oosten, 76, of Rock Falls, IL, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at her home.
Bev was born May 10, 1940, in Morrison, IL, to Earl A. and Pauline D. (Teach) Rhine. She was educated in the Lyndon Grade School and was a 1958 graduate of Lyndon High School in Lyndon, IL. She married Duane A. VanOosten on February 14, 1960, in Lyndon. Bev was first employed by General Electric in Morrison, then was a school bus driver for Erie, IL, schools. She later drove truck with her husband, Duane. Most recently, she was employed as Office Manager at Sterling Pavilion in Sterling, IL. Bev was a member of Erie United Methodist Church in Erie. She enjoyed reading and knitting.
Survivors include her husband, Duane; two sons, Alan VanOosten of Erie and Gary (Mag) VanOosten of Des Moines, IA; one granddaughter, Aubrey (Cyle) Snodgrass; one great-grandson, Garrett Snodgrass; one sister, Barbara (Jim) Ottens of Morrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Christopher VanOosten.
