Beverly Jean Jaeger, 75, of Leesburg, FL, formerly of Fulton, IL, and Morrison, IL, and Camanche, IA, died Saturday, July 29, 2023, at her home.
Beverly was born June 2, 1948, in Moline, IL, to John and Ella May (Wiersema) Huizenga. She was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School. She married Elmer “Bud” Jaeger on December 10, 1997, in Clinton, IA. Beverly worked at many restaurants in the Fulton area and owned and operated Granny’s Sugar Shack. She loved to bake and cook. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Beverly was also a Manager and Dispatcher at Bud Jaeger Trucking. She was a member of First Reformed Church in Fulton.
Survivors include her husband, Bud; daughter, Renee Housenga-Johnson of Clinton; sons, Shane (Jennifer) Housenga and Darin (Dawn) Housenga of Morrison; stepdaughters, Patricia (Richard) Sheppard of Silvis, IL, Rita (Robert) Tomkins of Silvis, Lynn (Jeff) Lamson of Baraga, MI, and Paula (Dan McLean) Jaeger of Davenport, IA; stepsons, Richard Jaeger of Morrison and James (Wendy) Jaeger of Dubuque, IA; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Marcia Rus of Fulton; brothers, Arlyn (Deborah) Huizenga of Lanark, IL, Keith (Sandy) Huizenga of Morrison, and Greg (Abigail) Huizenga of Fulton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kimberly Housenga; son, Joseph Housenga; grandsons, Alex Johnson and Jobe House; granddaughter, Melissa Sheppard.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
A private Graveside Service will be held at Fulton Township Cemetery, in Fulton, IL, with Pastor Roy Brown, of First Baptist Church in Morrison, officiating.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
A memorial has been established.
