Beverly Jean Carber, 85, of Sterling, IL, passed away at The Citadel of Sterling, on March 16, 2025, after a long illness.
Born February 28, 1940, to Fred (Fritz) and Vivian Dehnert in Milwaukee, WI, she graduated from Lake Mills High School. She was a homemaker until her six children were raised. She adored children so much, that she joined the AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program, mentoring and tutoring children, mainly in 2nd grade, in the Rock Falls, IL, School District, until her health no longer allowed her to continue.
Survivors include her children, Cindy (Quint) Bennett of Dixon, IL, Robert (BJ) Mosher, Jr. of Washington State, Lonnie Mosher (Carla Anderson) of Rock Falls, Nancy (Ron) Schaver of Morrison, IL, CJ (Tammy) Carber of St. Charles, IL; Frank (Jessica) Carber of Sterling; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra (Dennis) Olson of Beloit, WiI; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Judy Burdick; two former husbands.
At her direction, there will be no Funeral Services.
Cremation rites have been accorded by McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
Memorials can be sent directly to your favorite local animal shelter, as she was very passionate about animals and their welfare.
