Betty Jane Harridge, 89 of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Morrison, the daughter of John and Louise (Rosenow) Popkins on July 10, 1929. She attended Morrison Schools. Betty married John A. Harridge on September 7, 1949. She was a former homemaker, worked in the food industry, and was known for her baking skills. She enjoyed going to the casinos, fishing, and family gatherings.
Surviving her are one son, Tim Harridge (Cheryl Muse); one daughter, Jane (Mike) Waterman; seven grandchildren, Shawna Harridge, Andy (Leslie) Harridge, Jessie Harridge, Chelsey (Brian) Hohensee, Zach (Aimee) Harridge, Betty Jo (Jason) Schmitt, and Calvin (Carrie) Harridge; 14 great-grandchildren; one special daughter-in-law, Nancy (Larry) Pape; two brothers, Arnie Popkins and Vernon (Bernice) Popkins; one brother-in-law, Clarence (Carol) Harridge; one sister-in-law, Frances Frederick.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2012 and one son, Dennis, in 1989.
Graveside service will be held at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL, on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at 11:00 a.m.
Arrangements were completed with the McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory in Rock Falls, IL.
