“Beautiful Becky,” as referred to by the special man in her life, was born February 1, 1968, in Clinton, IA, to Gene and Margaret (Smith) Pessman. During high school she was a member of the chorus and was a cheerleader. She was also a member of the Garden Plain Ripsnorters 4-H Group. Becky was very active in her boys’ lives, attending their sporting events and school activities and volunteering for numerous school functions. She enjoyed gardening and landscaping and was a big animal lover. She was especially fond of horses, dogs, and cattle, which she showed during 4-H. Becky, along with her fiancé Scott, enjoyed going to concerts, musicals, and plays. She was a very good friend to many, always available and willing to listen. The best word to describe Becky would be “selfless.”
