Morrison Chamber of Commerce presented its Because Nice Matters Award to dance instructor LeAnn Schaefer, on Monday, November 6, 2017. Schaefer is owner of LeAnn’s Dance Connection, 107 Sawyer Road, Morrison, IL. Board members gathered for the presentation at 5:00 p.m. at the dance studio.
She offers lessons in
- ballet
- tap
- jazz
- pointe
- hip hop
- tumbling.
Her anonymous nominator stated, “LeAnn opened her dance studio for those attending Prom to take pictures, when the weather was so terrible. She had a table all set with refreshments and flower arrangements. It was so very nice of her to welcome everyone into her building and allow them to have a place to take pictures. LeAnn is very deserving of this award, not because nice is easy, but because nice matters!”
