Please join us for our first Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 1, 2015. This free family event will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Blue Building at the Whiteside County Fairgrounds, Morrison, IL.
Twenty local businesses will feature booths with hands-on activities and games for the kids. There will be bounce houses, ambulance tours, a dunk tank, and more! This community event will be held rain or shine. Enter the fairgrounds at the west entrance.
Morrison Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund raffle tickets are now on sale. Purchase your raffle tickets from any Chamber board member or at the Chamber Office, 221 W. Main Street, Morrison, during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. through Friday, July 31. Tickets are one duck for $1 or a flock of seven ducks for $5. Tickets will be for sale at the event.
The drawing for one of two terrific prizes will be at 4:00, during the Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 1. The raffle benefits the Chamber’s Scholarship Fund. Winners need not be present to win. Lucky Duck prizes include:
- Limo Ride and Lunch at DQ Grill & Chill, sponsored by Scenic Stage Lines and Bart and Ellen Smith
- Family Fun Pack for Four (including two Megabands) to the Whiteside County Fair, sponsored by More Insurance Agency.
We are collecting donations of school supplies for the United Way’s School Supply drive, which will be donated to Morrison Schools.
