Morrison Lions Club member Bob Smith stated, “There is still time to sponsor a large, United States flag, to be displayed along U. S. Route 30 or IL Route 78. Sponsor a new flag to honor a veteran, family member, or friend, or just to support the flag replacement drive.
“Our goal is to replace 350 flags. They have lined both sides of these highways within the City limits–on special holidays and other occasions–for the past 30 years!
“Morrison Lions Club, with the assistance of Morrison American Legion Post 328, is accepting sponsorships or donations for the Avenue of the Flags Replacement Fund Drive through Friday, December 31, 2021….Each flag is $20. Over half [have] been sponsored.
“We appreciate all those who have submitted sponsorship forms or donated money for the project.”
