Twenty Seahorses travelled to the Duis Center in Sterling, Illinois, on Saturday, June 29, 2013 to complete in the Sterling Stingray’s Summer Pentathlon. The swimmers were allowed to enter five events which included an IM, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and butterfly. The swimmers all received a visor as a participation award.
On Saturday, June 15, and Sunday, June 16, 2013, the Seahorses competed in the 2013 Piranha Summer 14 and Under Swim Meet at Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf, IA. Eleven Seahorses made the trip and came home with 19 medals and 14 ribbons. The Seahorses had eight individual first

Seventy-five people and their dogs turned out for the first Happy Tails “Run for the Paws” 2K run/walk. It was a great event with lots of happy faces–human and canine. The run brought $1,350 to Happy Tails.
