The Morrison Fillies opened their action at the Warkins Cardinal Classic at Erie, IL, High School with a win over the Lady Blackhawks from Stockton, IL.
The Morrison Mustangs spent the week competing in the Forreston Annual Holiday Tourney, They finished in 12th place out of 16 teams, in a loss to Lena-Winslow 42-39.
The Bureau Valley Storm invited the Morrison Fillies to their house and made every effort to send them home with a loss. The Fillies left Manlius, IL, with a 49-46 Conference win.
The Morrison Mustangs played the fourth game in a row that was to be decided within the final seconds of action. Unfortunately, they have been on the losing end on three of those games.
After the Morrison Mustangs lost the last two games with made shots in the final seconds, they used the free throws on Kaleb Church with 1.4 seconds on the clock to defeat the Oregon Hawks in the second round of the Forreston Holiday Tourney.
