On Thursday, August 8, 2013, at approximately 5:46 a.m., the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle traffic accident on Star Road west of IL Route 40. The driver of the vehicle was taken to CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL, for treatment of injuries. The name of the driver is not being released at this time, as the investigation is ongoing. Assisting agencies were Rock Falls, IL, Fire Department and CGH Ambulance Services.
