On 8-26-20 at 6:40 p.m., Jacques T. Walton, age 32 of Maywood, IL, was stopped following an Illinois State Police Emergency Radio Network (ISPERN) Message, regarding an unrestrained child in a vehicle on Interstate 88. Walton was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and Improper Lane Usage (driving in the inside lane without moving over). Passenger, Lily R. Glazebrook, age 20 of Woodridge, IL, was cited for No Seat Belt-Passenger. Both were released on bond. Williams’ Towing assisted on scene.
On 8/27/20 at 7:35 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 88 near milepost 39 for a speeding violation. The driver, Grisell Perez, of Chicago, IL, was issued a citation for speeding 97 MPH in a 70 MPH zone. Grisell was released from the traffic stop with a Promise to Comply. Illinois State Police assisted on the traffic stop.
On 8/27/20 at 8:02 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 88 near milepost 34 for a Scott’s Law Violation. The driver, Kelan S. Simmer, age 26, of Davenport, IA, was issued citations for the Unlawful Approach to a Stationary Emergency Vehicle (Scott’s Law Violation) as well as Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Simmer was released from the traffic stop with a Promise to Comply.
On 8/27/2020 at 9:40 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle in the 600 block of Locust Street, Sterling, IL. A passenger on the motorcycle, Courtney R. Adams, age 32, of Sterling, was arrested on a Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Appear-Methamphetamine. Adams was transported to the Whiteside County Jail and held in lieu of bond. The driver of the motorcycle, Richard D. Rausch II, age 49, of Sterling, was cited for speeding 45 MPH in a 30 MPH zone and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Rausch was released with a Promise to Comply.
On 8-28-20 at 5:07 a.m., Jonathan M. Ingram, age 31 of Sterling, IL, was stopped for speeding on U. S. Route 30 east of Morrison, IL. Ingram was cited for Speeding 26 to 34 MPH Over the Posted Speed Limit and released on bond, with a mandatory court date in Morrison.
