08/23/13 10:34 a.m. Brandon L. Abell, 24, of Tampico, IL, during a traffic stop on U. S. Route 30 and Lyndon Road, was arrested on a Whiteside County warrant for Driving while License Suspended and ticketed for Improper Lane Usage and No Insurance. He was taken to the Whiteside County Jail, where he posted bond and was released.
08/23/13 11:24 a.m. Dalton J. King, 19, of Sterling, IL, and Hunter L. Ristau, 19, also of Sterling, were arrested by Deputies at 307 15th Avenue, Sterling. King was charged with Possession of Cannabis <2.5 gms, and Ristau was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were released on a Notice to Appear in court.
08/24/13 6:50 a.m. Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a car fire on Interstate 88 at mile marker 31. Investigation revealed a 2003 Pontiac Grandam driven by Karah R. McGrady, 21, of Rock Falls, IL, was traveling westbound when the engine compartment caught fire. Prophetstown and Lyndon Fire Departments extinguished the fire. There were no injuries, but the vehicle was a total loss. McGrady was cited for Driving while License Suspended and released on a Notice to Appear in court.
These are merely charges, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
