August 21 Sheriff’s Report

08-18-13 at 11:56 p.m.  Forrest A. Miller, age 46 of Dixon, IL, was stopped for speeding on U. S. Route 30 near IL Route 136, rural Fulton, IL.  Forrest was arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and No Valid Driver’s License-Illinois Resident with foreign state license.  He received a written warning for the speeding offense and registration violation.

08-18-13 at 03:27 a.m.  Kelsey Lane Nichols, age 21 of Galesburg, IL, was stopped on U. S. Route 30 at Dakin Road for speeding 67/45 MPH.  She was arrested for the speeding offense as well as Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  Bond was posted on scene.  Fulton Police assisted on scene.

08-17-13 at 11:10 p.m.  A 17-year-old Morrison, IL, female was stopped in Morrison for failure to dim headlights.  She was subsequently arrested for No Valid Driver’s License-Graduated License Curfew and released on bond.

08-17-13 at 4:30 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies responded to a semi rolled over with occupant entrapment on Interstate 88 at milepost 33.  Rodney L. Love, age 38 of Chicago, IL, was traveling eastbound on Interstate 88 when he admittedly fell asleep at the wheel.  The semi tractor-trailer he was operating went first into the south ditch and then came back across into the median, where it rolled trapping Rodney inside.  Morrison Fire personnel were able to extricate Rodney, and Morrison Ambulance transported him to CGH Medical Center for treatment.  Morrison Fire, Morrison EMS, Illinois Department of Transportation, and Ince’s Towing assisted on scene.

08-16-13 at 11:05 p.m.  Frederick W. Hjellming, Jr., age 51 of Canton, IL, was stopped in Morrison, IL, for defective exhaust.  Frederick was arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and bonded on scene, with a warning for the defective exhaust as well as a cracked windshield.  Passenger, Kevin E. Kiefer, age 36 of Pekin, IL, was arrested on a Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Appear-Possession of Cannabis.  He was also arrested on a Snyder County, PA, Warrant for Failure to Appear-Sentencing Hearing-Theft.  Kevin was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail.  Morrison Police assisted on scene.

08-13-13 at 10:24 p.m.  A 16-year-old Prophetstown, IL, lad was stopped in Prophetstown for speeding and improper lane usage.  He was arrested for No Valid Driver’s License-Graduated License Curfew and released on bond.

08-09-13 at 12:36 a.m.  Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a semi-tractor-trailer roll over crash involving injuries on Interstate 88 at milepost 36 exit.  Kevin C. Lueder, age 55 of West Union, IA, entered the eastbound exit too fast.  The semi rolled, causing Kevin to be trapped inside with minor injuries.  After extrication, Kevin was transported to CGH Medical Center, Strling, IL, for treatment.  Sterling Fire, Rock Falls Fire, CGH EMS, Illinois Department of Transportation, and Ince’s Towing assisted on scene.

 
These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
