Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, August 14, 2015.
Arrests:
On Friday, August 14, 2015, at approximately 11:58 p.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at S. Cherry Street and E. Park Street, Morrison, IL, for several seat belt violations. As a result of the traffic stop and further investigation, David L. Gardner, age 31 (with no known address – homeless), was arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by La Salle County, IL, charging Gardner with Failure to Appear – Shoplifting. Gardner was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
On Tuesday, August 18, 2015, Morrison Police arrested Holly E. Denning, age 28 of Sterling, IL, charging Denning with Theft and Identity Theft. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by Morrison Police of a theft that was reported on June 9, 2015. Denning was already serving a sentence within the Whiteside County Jail at the time of this arrest. Denning remained in jail.
On Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Daphnee D. Wayman, age 32 of Morrison, IL, at E. Lincolnway and N. Jackson Street for a registration violation. After further investigation during the stop, Morrison Police arrested Wayman, charging her with Expired Registration Sticker and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Wayman was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
