All pre-registered participants will receive a t-shirt. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group and also to the top male and female Morrison High School alumni. Participants will have access to a water station on the course and post-race refreshments.
Packet pick-up and late registration for the race will be from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 11, or from 6:45 to 7:45 a.m. race morning at the Cedar Ridge Pavilion. During the Thursday evening packet pick-up, the course will be marked for those wishing to do a practice run.
All proceeds from the race go to the Morrison Schools Foundation. The mission of the Foundation is to enhance the education of our students, by raising funds to enable greater educational opportunities. Specifically, the proceeds from Strides for Students support the Foundation’s mini-grant program. This funds teacher requests for special teaching tools and/or curriculum tools, to help enhance student achievement in the classroom. Classroom supplements bought with mini-grant monies are tied to Common Core curriculum goals.
