Knowing what to do in the event of a fire is particularly important to older adults. Adults 65 or older are twice as likely to be killed or injured in a fire, compared to the rest of the population at large. What can be done to prevent a tragic injury or loss? Come to one of the following programs to learn safety procedures.
On Tuesday, November 13, 2018, the Whiteside County TRIAD will present “Fire Safety for Seniors,” at 1:30 p.m., at the Whiteside County Senior Center, 1207 W. 9th Street, Sterling, IL.
On Wednesday, November 14, at 11:00 a.m., Whiteside County TRIAD will present the same event at the Odell Public Library Community Room, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL.
These are free events open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend.
