Daylight Saving Time Begins Sunday, March 12

A welcome sign of Spring’s approach is Daylight Saving Time, which begins Sunday, March 12, 2017.  Reset all time pieces and appliances ahead one hour on Saturday evening, March 11, or on Sunday. Don’t forget vehicle clocks and watches not currently worn.  Smartphones will adjust themselves while you sleep.

Garden Plain Road Closure March 7-10

The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that Garden Plain Road, approximately one-half mile west of Morrison, IL, will be closed to all through traffic from Tuesday, March 7, through Friday, March 10, 2017. The closure will allow the Union Pacific Railroad to perform needed maintenance.
