The Loft on Main Open September 15 and 16

The Loft on Main will offer extended hours over the Paint the Town weekend, to accommodate residents, visitors, and Sunday Main Street strollers.  The art gallery is located at 112 E. MCH Scrubs Sale September 14

Morrison Community Hospital will host a Scrubs Sale on Friday, September 14, 2018, in the main lobby, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  There will be great selection and prices in scrub bottoms, tops, shoes, and other accessories.  The general public is invited to participate.

Special Council and MADC Meeting

City of Morrison City Council and Morrison Area Development Committee will hold a Special Meeting, on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 8:00 a.m.  The public is encouraged to attend, to view charts/displays, and ask questions about the proposed Main Street Project.  The location is Super Wash Training Facility, 707 W.

Change in Recycle Day Location

Due to flooding, the Community Recycle Day location has been changed from Water Works Park to the Whiteside County Fairgrounds, Winfield Street, Morrison, IL.  The event will still be Saturday, September 8, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., even if there is some rain that day.

Volleyball Date Change

Because of a lack of officials, next week’s Fresh/Soph Girls Volleyball games at Erie, IL, with Erie/P-town, will be played on Monday, August 27, 2018, instead of Tuesday, August 28.

Sheriff’s Office Reports August 8 Fulton Burglary

Alcoholics Anonymous Meeting Corrections

City Fire Hydrants to be Flushed

The City of Morrison will flush fire hydrants during the week beginning Monday, August 6, 2018.  Municipal hydrant flushing commonly causes brief periods of discolored water.  This should clear up within just minutes.  Occasionally, residents might also experience decreased water pressure, which should also be brief.
