Arnold C. Stralow, 92, of Windsor Manor Assisted Living Community, Morrison, IL, died Friday, December 18, 2020, at Windsor Manor.
Arnold was born June 14, 1928, in Morrison, to Carl J. and Alma (Folkers) Stralow. He was educated in the Morrison schools and graduated from Morrison High School. He served as a paratrooper in the U. S. Army. On September 12, 1954, he married Louise E. Koester at the Methodist Church in Erie, IL. Arnold was a life-long farmer. In his younger years he supplemented his earnings working winters at Wylder Surveying. He was a life-long member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Morrison.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; daughter, Marcia Stralow of Morrison; sons, Craig (Wendy) Stralow and Mark (Karen) Stralow, both of Morrison; eight grandchildren, Chad (Amanda) Beldin, Steven (Kjerstina) Morris, Patti Imel, Nathan (Erica) Stralow, Justin (Angela) Stralow, John (Jessica) Housinga, Melissa (Michael) Landers, and Sara Near; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Elvira Stralow of Morrison, Esther (Kenneth) Huizenga of Morrison, and Anita (Ed) Allison of Flowery Branch, GA; brothers, Erwin (Phyllis) Stralow of Morrison and Cecil (Delores) Stralow of Murrieta CA; sisters-in-law, Jean Stralow of Waymart, PA, and Kay Stralow of Moline, IL; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold and Charles Stralow.
A graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling, IL, with Rev. Anthony Appel, Pastor at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Morrison, IL, officiating.
The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
