Golfers, take note of these important event changes.
- The April House Advocacy Center Golf Outing is two months earlier than last year. It will be Saturday, July 11, 2015.
- Tee-off is earlier: 9:00 a.m. at Cross Creek Golf Course, 15523 Henry Road, Morrison, IL.
- The four-person, best-ball scramble fee is reduced–now $50 per individual–which includes 18 holes of golf and a half cart.
- The registration deadline is now Thursday, July 9.
This is a significant event. “It’s your turn to make a difference!”
Why? April House is the only agency in Whiteside County to provide specialized services exclusively to child victims. The golf outing is a major fundraiser that facilitates the facility’s mission. This not-for-profit organization is funded entirely by grant support and community donations.
April House Children’s Advocacy Center, 501 N. Madison Street, Morrison, is a tiny, but comfortable, short-term haven for child victims of abuse, neglect, or violence. Here, in security and complete privacy, they give testimony to Dr. Johanna Hager. Recent modifications made the location ADA-compliant to serve every child.
Only 22 teams will be accepted. Team Captains should register with Cross Creek Golf Course. Mail checks of $200 payable to “April House” to CCGC, 15523 Henry Road, Morrison, IL 61270. Include a Team name; Captain’s name, address, phone, and email; three Players’ names.
What if I don’t golf or cannot attend? How can I be a Hole Sponsor? Write a generous check payable to “April House.” Mail it to Sheriff Kelly Wilhelmi, Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, 400 N. Cherry Street, Morrison, IL 61270.
