“It’s your turn to raise the leaders of tomorrow,” proclaims the announcement of the upcoming April House Children’s Advocacy Center Golf Tournament, on Saturday, September 27, 2014. “We’re the place where a child exposed to sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, and serious neglect is given the chance to have his/her voice heard, in an effort to stop future abuse from happening. Our mission is to decrease the incidence of sexual abuse and trauma, by bringing help systems together to intervene in a humane and responsive manner.”
April House is a not-for-profit organization funded entirely by grant support and community donations. Proceeds from the golf tournament will be directed to April House, 503 N. Madison Street, Morrison, IL, the only children’s advocacy facility in Whiteside County. Read about April House here.
