Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, April 8, 2016.
Arrests: On Thursday, April 14, 2016, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Morrison Police and the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fight, involving several male juveniles outside, at Northside School. While responding to and investigating the fight, it was reported that a knife and a gun may have been involved. As a result of the investigation, it was determined by Morrison Police that no knife was involved and the gun possessed by one individual, was an air soft handgun, not a firearm. Morrison Police charged one male juvenile, age 16 of Morrison, IL, and Kristopher J. Garapolo, age 18 of Morrison, with Public Fighting. Those juveniles involved were released to their parents/guardians, and Garapolo was transported and released at his residence.
