Editor’s note: Joan Vander Bleek supplied photos from the 2017 Father Daughter Dance.
“Under the Sea” is the theme of the 13th Father Daughter Dance, presented by the St. Mary’s Catholic Church parish. This popular family event is shared by many, during an evening of music, dancing, and memorable fun. Each year the Father Daughter Dance grows in attendance, so a venue change was made in 2017.
This year’s dance is Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Morrison High School, 643 Genesee Avenue, Morrison, IL. Please park behind the school, and enter through the back door, by the pool.
Doors open at 6:30; DJ music is from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
This annual event is planned for the Morrison community. Young ladies of every age invite their favorite escort–father, grandfather, uncle, or brother.
Admission is $20 at the door for all escorts, but is free for all young ladies.
From 6:30 to 7:00 is time for individual and group pictures, such an important part of the evening. Steve Siefken, renowned Morrison photographer, will capture each couple or group in one photo for the scrapbook. The photo is included in the entry fee. Those who want extras photos will pay $5 per picture.
Come join the fun! Admission provides
- entertainment with music
- a keepsake 4″ x 6″ photograph
- delicious desserts and punch.
Gift baskets full of surprises will be raffled throughout the dance. This is always a special part of the evening. Purchase tickets at the dance.
