Morrison High School Driver Education and American Government teacher Brian Bartoz stated, “This year’s Prom theme is ‘Under the Big Top,’ which we hope to carry out through a whimsical, creative circus theme at Deer Valley Golf Club[, 3298 Hoover Road, Deer Grove, IL].”
“Holly Davis, Banquet Coordinator at Deer Valley, has been exceptionally helpful throughout the last few months, as we planned our event. We have sold 146 tickets for Prom.”
“Amanda Cook, a Morrison, IL, resident and event planner extraordinaire, has been the glue that has held our Prom Committee together during the past year. Her creative vision is superb. Her leadership regarding decorations will help to transform Deer Valley Golf Club into a fantastic, circus-themed venue,” he added.
Junior-year students sold tickets, designed the printed program, assembled decorations, selected keepsake items, and worked on countless other aspects of the event. “My colleagues and I are grateful for their work to make the event a success.”
The Grand March will start on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 4:00 p.m., in the Morrison High School auditorium, 643 Genesee Avenue, and conclude about 4:30.
2019 Prom Court includes
- Prince (from Junior Class): Keegan Anderson
- Princess (from Junior Class): Shanna Hudson
- Prom King Candidates: Jacob Brown, Ethan Medenblik, Brevin Pruis, Alessio Romagnoli, Drew Walters.
- Prom Queen Candidates: McKenna King, Emma Renkes, Sarah Screnock, Peyton Smith, Emily Szabo.
Prom King and Queen will be announced during the final portion of Grand March.
