April 27 Illinois State Police Report

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Jose Luis Barraza, Jr., 20, of Ashton, IL, was stopped for speeding on 4/23/2018 at 3:53 p.m., on IL Route 38 at Hartman Road in Lee County, and charged with Driving While License Suspended and Speeding.  Barraza was released on an I-bond.
 
Jeffrey W. Ogburn, 45, of Amboy, IL, was stopped on 4/23/2018 at 6:40 p.m., on Eldenard Road and Prairie Hill Drive in Lee County, after a routine registration check revealed the registered owner, Ogburn, was wanted on an Ogle County warrant for Failure to Appear, on a traffic citation.  Ogburn was taken into custody and released, after posting $168 cash bond.
 
A 16-year-old male juvenile was stopped on 4/23/2018 at 7:13 p.m., on E. 2nd Street at 5th Avenue in Sterling, IL, for texting while driving and charged with Possession of 251 grams of Cannabis and Possession With Intent to Deliver.  He was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Texting While Driving, and No Valid Driver’s License.  He was released to a parent.
 
Joe V. DeJesus, 48, of Peoria, IL, was stopped for speeding on 4/27/2018 at 3:00 a.m., on 18th Street at 8th Avenue in Rock Falls, IL, and was wanted on a Whiteside County warrant. DeJesus was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
