April 23 Sheriff’s Office Fatality Report

4-22-17 at 3:54 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle, rollover accident with multiple injuries on Meredosia Road near Bunker Hill Road. Upon further investigation, the pickup truck failed to negotiate a curve, traveled through a ditch, causing the vehicle to rollover multiple times, and land on its tires. The driver, Kit R. B. Wilson, age 41 of Albany, IL, was ejected from the vehicle and taken to Mercy Medical Center in Clinton, IA, where he was pronounced dead. The passenger, Jordan A. Tornow age 21 of Tampico, IL, was treated on scene for minor injuries and released. The crash is under investigation by Whiteside County and the Illinois State Police Accident Reconstruction. Albany EMS, Albany Fire, Erie Police Department, Fulton Police Department, Illinois State Police, and Rick’s Towing assisted on scene.
