Forget about the Ides of March. Look what the Ides of April 2014 brought!
Yesterday, on Monday, April 14, we had experienced day-long snow showers, but with no accumulation. Temperatures above 30° efficiently turned the snow to welcome wetness.
Had you smiled a bit, watching the larger, feathery flakes descend? Did your eyes often glance through the window during the day?
Did this morning’s light snow surprise or please you?
A Yoruba proverb tells us, “Anyone who sees beauty and does not look at it will soon be poor.” In St. Louis, MO, this last remnant of a fierce winter would be called “a blessing of snow.” So be it.
