Andrew M. Wiedenhoffer, 30, of St. Peters, MO, was stopped for speeding on 4/09/2018, on Interstate 39 southbound at milepost 89 in Lee County, and charged with Driving While License Suspended and Speeding. He also was issued a civil citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Wiedenhoffer was released on an I-bond.
Alexis Marie Jones Valazquez, 27, of Rock Falls, IL,was stopped on 4/12/2018 at 12:13 a.m., on 2nd Street at 3rd Avenue in Rock Falls, after a routine registration check revealed the registered owner had an expired Driver’s License and was wanted on a warrant. Valazquez was charged with Wanted on Warrant, No Valid Driver’s License, No Insurance, and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. She was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
Latasha M. Brown, 29, of Clinton, IA, was stopped for speeding on 4/17/2018 at 6:20 p.m., on Interstate 88 eastbound at milepost 41 in Whiteside County, and charged with Driving While License Suspended. Brown was also wanted on a warrant in Whiteside and Lee Counties. She was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
Crash Investigation
The Illinois State Police investigated a one-vehicle crash on 4/17/2018 at 8:10 p.m., on Shaw Road at Beaver Road in Lee County. A 2010 Nissan Murano, driven by Brandon J. Abshear, 25, of Yorkville, IL, was eastbound on Shaw Road near Beaver Road when it struck a deer, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a culvert. Passenger Tammy L. Abshear, 51, of Eldena, IL, was transported to KSB Hospital by Sublette Ambulance with minor injuries.
Mauro Antonio Alvarado Benitez, 20, of North Liberty, IA, was charged with Driving While License Suspended on 4/18/2018 at 8:44 p.m., after he parked on the shoulder on Interstate 39 southbound, at milepost 92 in Lee County, and a Trooper stopped to check on him. He was released on an I-bond.
Javon T. Coleman, 24, of Rock Falls, IL, was stopped on 4/19/2018 at 5:20 p.m., on U. S. 30 at 1st Avenue in Rock Falls, after a routine registration check revealed the registered owner was wanted on a warrant. Coleman was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
Tyree Patrick Williams, 19, of Davenport, IA, was charged with Driving While License Suspended and No Valid Registration on 4/19/2018 at 6:04 p.m., after he parked on the shoulder on Interstate 88 eastbound, at milepost 33 in Whiteside County, and a Trooper stopped to check on him. He was released on an I-bond.
Tylor D. Shroyer, 33, of Dixon, IL, was stopped on 4/20/2018 at 1:05 a.m., on Dixon Avenue at West Humphrey Street in Rock Falls, IL, after a routine registration check revealed the registered owner was wanted on a warrant. Shroyer was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
