Whiteside County Sheriff’s Merit Commission is accepting applications for “Correctional Deputy” Eligibility List. The deadline is Friday, December 9, 2016, at 4:00 p.m.
Starting pay is $17 per hour with benefits.
Applications must have or pass the following requirements:
- must be 21 years of age
- a High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate is required
- must have at least 20/50 vision without glasses or corrected to 20/20.
If offered the position, you must pass a background check, drug screen, physical exam, and polygraph exam.
Education, expertise, and skills will be considered in screening the applicant for testing. The exam is a written test, with credit for military service. (Provide your DD214 form.)
Recipients of the top test scores will be given an oral interview.
Applications may be picked up at the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center, 400 N. Cherry Street, Morrison, IL, or printed from the County website whiteside.org. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
