It may appear that Ross Bender of Rock Falls, IL, left, is welcoming the Editor into the City of Morrison, IL, water tower enclosure, as his employer, Dan Crownhart, looks on. Not so.
Crownhart owns Sterling Fence, 2704 Locust Street, Sterling, IL. On the bright, chilly morning of Wednesday, December 18, 2013, he and his crew of three installed “about 240′ of” chain link material and the gate. Capped with barbed wire, they are designed to keep out humans and animals.
The newly-repaired and -painted water tower is now complete. With its ermine carpet of snow, it seems rather elegant.
