Morrison, IL, Seahorses competed in the Stateline Summer Conference Meet, held Tuesday, July 7, 2015, in Sterling, IL, for the 10 and Under swimmers and on Wednesday, July 8, in Freeport , IL, for the 11 and Over Swimmers. The Stateline Conference is made up of teams from Morrison, Sterling, Freeport, Byron, and Rockford, IL. Twenty-two Seahorses competed in the meet and earnd an impressive 45 Lifetime Best swims and 35 Top-Six finishes.
Congratulations to Jacob Allison who won the 25 Freestyle, 25 Breaststroke, and the 100 Individual Medley; to Kate Henson who won the 50 Backstroke; to Skylar Drolema who won the 50 Breaststroke and the 100 Individual Medley; to Gracen Harmon who won the 100 Butterfly! Also congratulations to Schyon Drolema, Laney Edgeton, Kate Henson, and Emily Henson (pictured left-to-right), who broke the Seahorse record for the 200 Medley Relay that was set in 1981 by Nikki Tegeler, Tawny (Wilkins) Wiersema, Tracy (Wilkins) Henson, and Elise Geiger. The girls swam a 2:16.44 time, which broke the 34-year-old record by two seconds! The Seahorse results follow.
