Anna I. Rubright, 81 of Rock Falls, IL, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 18, 2024, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL.
Anna was born on January 2, 1943, in Morrison, IL, the daughter of Wilford and Alice (Monnier) Bushman. She was a graduate of Morrison High School. She married John “Jack” Rubright on January 5, 1963, in Sterling. She had worked throughout her life at various jobs in the area: as an Office Clerk at Northwestern Steel and Wire; at KSB Hospital in Dixon, IL; at the former Brandywine Inn, Dixon; at the former Mr. Nifty Cleaners in Rock Falls; as an Office person for Dr. Beachamp, DC in Sterling; for Rock Falls Wal-mart. Anna along with her husband delivered the Daily Gazette on a rural motor route for 13 years. Anna was a prolific reader and enjoyed quilting, sewing, and working in her flowers and garden at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Jack; daughters, Andrea Weinger and Kris Nielsen; sons, Eric (Monica) Rubright and Jason (Vanessa) Rubright; brother, Arland (Linda) Bushman; nine grandchildren, Cole (Jaci) Weinger, Kyle Weinger, Joshua (Minal) Rubright, Taija Rubright, Anthony Nielsen, Zachery Nielsen, Matthew Nielsen, Madisyn Rubright, and Alivia Rubright; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alan Bushman; sons-in-law, Kurt Weinger and Edward Nielsen.
There will be no Visitation or Funeral services; Cremation will take place.
Memorials may be made in her memory to Happy Tails Shelter and Abiding Word Food Pantry.
