Are you wearing green today? Send your St. Patrick’s Day photo to webmaster@thecity1.com.
Each year on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, school children sometimes dress in a bit o’ the green, in order to avoid being pinched by their classmates. In actuality, only people with Irish ancestry need wear green on this day.
As souvenirs of the Editor’s October 2016 trip to Ireland, grandchildren Annabelle and Isaac Blevins received these shirts. They much preferred their toy/book gifts. But today the shirts are a perfect opportunity to honor their Irish heritage.
Just to ensure no pinching occurs, they are also wearing their souvenir shamrock socks from Dublin, Ireland.
