The American Legion Post #328 in Morrison, IL, conducted a Shopping Spree Raffle, to allow one winner an opportunity to shop for two minutes at Sullivan’s Foods in Morrison. Only 200 tickets were sold. Along with the raffle, the Legion built into the rules that 10% of the proceeds would be donated to Morrison Friends Food Pantry.
On Saturday, November 19, 2016, the $138 check was presented, along with two boxes of canned foods. The canned foods were donated by Legionnaires during their annual Veterans Day Dinner.
Morrison Friends Food Pantry is located in Morrison United Methodist Church, 200 W. Lincolnway and is open on Thursdays from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. To reach them by telephone call 815-718-5643.
