GoodenoughBobBrandsMarketing Director Karla Burn reported a special Christmas visit to Resthave Care & Rehabilitation, 408 Maple Avenue, Morrison, IL, on Friday, December 20, 2019.  Four of 120 members of Morrison American Legion Post 328–Bob Brands, Terry Jones, Kenneth Petersen, and Dale Usterbowski–visited with 21 Resthave veterans.

Legionnaires presented each with a “Gift to the Yanks,” courtesy of National American Legion.  A zippered bag contained personal items, including pen and note paper, lip balm, lotion, a deck of cards, dominoes, and a word search book.

Evelyn Raney and Jeri Renkes are Resthave’s female resident veterans.

Legion “Santas” met with seven Veterans at Pleasant View Rehabilitation & Health Care Center and eight who live at Windsor Manor Assisted Living Community.  Legion Headquarters delivered gift bags to Prophetstown, and Mt. Carroll, IL, veterans, too.

“Resthave would like to thank all veterans for their service to our Country, with special thanks to the American Legion for their thoughtfulness and visit to our veterans,” stated Burn.
