Alvin E. Geesey, age 81, of Rock Falls, IL, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison, IL.
Al was born November 16, 1933, in Sterling, IL, the son of Blair and Mildred Geesey. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He married Victoria Manzo on May 22, 1982, in Sterling and was self-employed as a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife of Rock Falls; one daughter, Marian (Scott) Everly of Texas; four sons, Mike (Angie) Geesey of Bluegrass, IA, Joe (Cindy) Geesey of Mt. Morris, IL, Victor (Amy) Manzo of Prophetstown, IL, and Al B. Geesey of Sterling; one brother, Ralph (Betty) Geesey of Mt. Carroll, IL; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Brenda.
At Al’s request, there are no services planned.
Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
