Alice J. “Jo” Hammons, 74, of Morrison, IL, died Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at home, surrounded by family. Jo was born November 26, 1949, in Rushville, IL, the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Walker) Mathis.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Hammons of Morrison; daughters, LeeAnn (Anthony) Tessier of Kewanee, IL, and Tammy (Greg) Pruis of Morrison; son Ryan (Amanda) Hammons of Spring Valley, IL; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her beloved dog, Saige.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, Sterling. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
