Albany Community Supporters, formerly the Albany Chamber of Commerce, after many years of service to the Albany Community, held its final meeting on Monday, December 17, 2018. The organization distributed all funds in its treasury to local organizations. A time of fellowship and light refreshments followed the presentation of the checks.
Those organizations were
- Riverbend Educational Foundation (in accordance with the organization’s emphasis on scholarships)
- Honor Flight of the Quad Cities (a long-standing partner)
- Albany Fire Protection District
- Albany Food Pantry
- Albany Garden Plain Youth Association
- Fulton City Lodge #189 (another long-standing partner)
- St. Patrick’s Catholic Church
- Albany United Methodist Church.
Members of Albany Community Supporters remain committed to the Albany community and thank everyone for their support through the years.
