The Sawmill Museum will be hosting a winter speaker series titled “How Clinton Has Built and Fed the World.” The series will take place at the museum, located at 2231 Grant Street in Clinton, IA, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., on Thursdays from January 25, to March 22, 2018.
The series will cover a variety of topics about agriculture in the Clinton area in the past and present, as well as the influence of agriculture both locally and globally. Topics covered will include tree farms, grist mills, legislation, farm equipment, and pork and soybean production.
Each week will feature a different speaker. Speakers listed below will be provided by a variety of organizations, including Humanities Iowa, the Hawkeye Speakers Bureau, the Iowa Soybean Association, the Iowa Corn Growers Association, and the National Pork Board.
