As the weather arrived for pleasurable conditions to play Baseball, the pitching duel at the Morrison Sports Complex complimented it, on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Morrison Junior Brenden Martin and Rocket Freshmen Carsen Dekeyrel took the mound. It took seven innings to see a run cross the plate. The Rockets scored two runs in the top of the seventh. The Mustangs could not retaliate and fell 2-0.
The pitching dual saw Dekeyrel strike out seven Mustangs and allowed only three hits. Martin eliminated 12 Rockets with the strikeout while allowing five singles.
