“A ‘Buckeye’ in Cameroon” is the name of upcoming program Saturday, September 17, 2016, at the Savanna Museum and Cultural Center, 406 Main Street, Savanna, IL.
Peace Corps Fellow Max Miller spent two years serving with the Peace Corps in Cameroon, Africa, from 2011 to 2013. Posted in Edea in the Littoral region of Cameroon, he learned about the culture and history of the African country.
Miller will share some of his many unique experiences on the 17th. His program begins at 2:00 p.m.
Born in Bucyrus, OH, Miller graduated from Ohio State University in 2010. He served as an Education Volunteer, teaching computer science, at a teacher training college.
He is currently serving in Savanna as part of the Peace Corps Fellows Program, at
Western Illinois University/Americorps Illinois member. He is also pursuing a
master’s degree in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Administration at WIU.
A donation of $8 will be appreciated to hear Miller’s presentation.
