Although ground was broken on Thursday, December 10, 2015, it is now clear the new Wastewater Treatment Plant is becoming a reality in Morrison, IL.  This view of the site, taken Tuesday, March 8, 2016  is toward the northwest, with Co-Z Corner convenience store along Tech Drive at the right.

City of Morrison Director of Public Works Gary M. Tresenriter also submitted a civil drawing of the Erosion Control Plan and photos.  He has worked for years–since 2007–to reach this moment.

“Attached is the most recent site grading update.  Also included is an updated photo of the basement of the Control Building, [below] preparing to pour the concrete floor and walls.”

Foundation work has begun at the future Control Building, left.  Steel reinforcing bars mark the area of the basement foundation and floor.  At the Aero-Mod site, right, crushed rock has been laid.  There will be 15 open-topped, concrete tanks installed here.  Each will hold 15 feet of water.

Plenty of earth has been moved, as structures are set at different elevations.  Some, like the future Stormwater Detention Pond, require the land to slope to lower grades.

The first concrete pour was Thursday, March 10, for the floor of the basement in the Control Building.  Quality Ready Mix, 14849 Lyndon Road, Morrison, IL, delivered several truck loads to the pumper truck.  Quality Ready Mix is owned by Randy Holesinger.
