The Morrison, IL, High School Fillies had to make a 95-mile journey and play the second game in the basketball Regional opening night, at North Boone District #200, in Poplar Grove, IL. The young women came home late on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, with a tough win over #8 seeded North Boone.
Much concern is carried by the Fillies, Junior Kassidee Church went down with a first quarter injury and did not return to action. Junior Emma Sitzmore stepped up in Church’s absence and totaled 28 points and 12 rebounds. This lead the Fillies to a 56-52 win.

The Fillies will make the long hike back to North Boone on Thursday evening, February 11, with hopes of bringing home a Regional Championship.
