Morrison Chief of Police Brian Melton reported on new traffic control legislation, passed Monday, February 8, 2016, by the Morrison, IL, City Council.
“Pursuant to an agreement between Union Grove Township and the City of Morrison, Morrison Police Department is now patrolling portions of Prairie Center Road and Henry Road, to conduct traffic enforcement within the posted speed zones. If you travel these areas, please comply with the posted 30 MPH speed limit on Prairie Center Road and the posted 35 MPH speed limit on Henry Road.”
“As always,” the Chief added, “please drive carefully, slow down, wear your seat belt, and get off your phone!”
