The Morrison Fillies Basketball Team was unable to finish the Cliff Warkins Memorial Holiday Tournament pool play in winning style. They fell to the Fulton[, IL,] Lady Steamers on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, by a score of 45-29.
After opening play by scoring on their first two possessions, the Lady Steamers ran off the next 14 points and never looked back. The Fillies made the situation worse by getting into foul trouble early. This eventually sent Fulton to the free throw line 26 times, while only attempting five at the other end of the court. Morrison will make one more trip to Erie, IL, on Saturday, January 2, 2016. The Fillies will play in the position playoff to a team to be named later.
