On 12/9/15 in the early morning hours, Whiteside County Sheriff Deputies arrested Christian D. Nieto, age 18 of Sterling, IL, and Steven Armoska, age 20 of Sterling, after Deputies investigated a reported armed robbery that took place in a residential neighborhood in rural Sterling.
Nieto was charged with Armed Robbery, Robbery, Defacing a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm without a FOID Card, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition without a FOID Card.
Armoska was charged with Armed Robbery and Robbery.
Both Nieto and Armoska were transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where they are being held in lieu of bond.
Whiteside County Deputies were assisted by the Rock Falls Police Department and Sterling Police Department.
